Updated Nokia 6 (2018), which was presented earlier this month in China "out of the box" was not with the most recent operating system Android 7.1 Nougat. Nokia 7 was introduced earlier - in October, but like Nokia 6, the smartphone is sold only in China. Since today, both devices have begun to receive Android Oreo.

If everything is clear with Nokia 7, then with Nokia 6 it turned out very strange. The device was shown on the old OS, and after 15 days it is updated. There is a theory that OEMs do not want to release smartphones with Oreo in order not to support Project Treble, the new Android architecture that allows you to update the "base" part of the operating system from Google, regardless of the device manufacturer's add-ons. While it is encouraging that both devices are already updating to the current OS before they are sold worldwide.
