Facebook received the exclusive right to broadcast CS: GO and Dota 2

Facebook intends to "take the bread" from Twitch and YouTube Gaming, luring an audience of cyber sportsmen.

What is it about?

The social network signed an agreement with the Electronic Sports League for an exclusive display of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2. Tournaments will be broadcast on Facebook Live in English or Portuguese. Broadcast promise to make in 1080p and 60 FPS.

Special chips from Facebook

The ESL said that Facebook plans to introduce virtual reality technology in the broadcast. According to the idea, this will work in tandem with the Facebook 360 App for Gear VR.

When to look

The contract is signed for four seasons until 2019. Showing the seventh season of CS: GO Pro League will start on February 13, 2018. Also included in the agreement is a special weekly show on Facebook Watch for the Dota 2 community.
