Vivo X20 and X20 Plus smartphones: minimum frames and dual camera

The first Vivo smartphone with an almost frameless screen was the Indian Vivo V7 +, and in the home market the company introduced two other devices - the Vivo X20 and its larger version of the X20 Plus.

What is inside?

Standard Vivo X20 received a 6.01-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160x1080 and an aspect ratio of 18: 9, which occupies 85.3% of the faceplate area. In the Vivo X20 Plus, the screen diagonal is 6.43 inches with the same resolution and usable area of ​​86.11%. There is here and its analogue function Always On Display. On the part of the characteristics of the model are similar. For the speed response eight-core processor Snapdragon 660, as in Xiaomi Mi Note 3, 4 GB RAM, and in addition to the built-in drive for 64 GB, there is a hybrid slot for a microSD card or a second SIM. The shell Funtouch OS provides a special mode for maximum performance in games. Also planned is a version of the Vivo X20 at 128 GB.

Cameras

The main dual-camera smartphone consists of a 12-megapixel sensor with Dual Pixel technology and a second 5-megapixel sensor. The system allows you to take photos with a background blur in portrait mode. The Plus-version additionally has optical image stabilization. In the camera application, the "live photo" mode is implemented, when 1.5 seconds of video are recorded before the shutter is released and 1.5 seconds after. Thank you Apple for the idea. The front 12-megapixel camera also received a sensor with Dual Pixel support for quick focus.

Vivo added Face Wake Face Detection to unlock. The implementation is software, and it will be more reliable to use a fingerprint scanner. It is located on the rear panel of the all-metal case.

In the Vivo X20 there is a 3245 mAh battery, the capacity of the X20 Plus battery is 3905 mAh. The micro USB port is used for charging. In a more compact device, the sound quality is answered by the AK4376A DAC, and the "Plus" ESS Saber ES9318 audio chip was awarded. It is also worth mentioning the support for Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5 GHz. Three colors are available: black, gold and pink gold.

Price list

In China, smartphone sales start on September 30, for the Vivo X20 will have to give about $ 455 or $ 515 for a version with twice the memory capacity. Vivo X20 Plus costs $ 530. This is almost the level of the flagship LG G6, but Korean devices are not popular in the Chinese market. Customers with a more modest budget may be interested in Huawei Maimang 6, which will be presented on the international market as Huawei Mate 10 Lite, but there are no direct competitors with a 16: 9 screen for Vivo innovations.
