Earlier, Intel released updates for their processors, which closed the hole in the security system. Then they warned users that the update is full of bugs and can affect the performance of the PC. The company itself offered simply not to be updated until a stable version appears, but Microsoft has gone further.

What's fixed

Soft-cracked released an update , which simply turns off protection from the Specter V2. The update is available for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. The company was assured that they themselves tested the update and it eliminates performance problems on the PC. The patch is distributed through the Microsoft Updates Catalog , so you should download and install it yourself.

The update added tools for system administrators. Now they can turn on and off the protection of the Specter V2 themselves using the keys to configure the registry.
