Known analyst of KGI Securities, Min-Chi Kuo continues to reveal the veil of secrecy over the iPhone's 2018 line. Based on information from the supply chain, the expert published some characteristics of the novelties and made a sales forecast.

Why wait?

Direct heirs of the iPhone X will be OLED-devices with a screen diagonal of 5.8 and 6.2 inches, while Apple will increase the amount of RAM from 3 to 4 gigabytes. Both smartphones are equipped with a basic dual camera and dual-cell L-shaped batteries, like the "dozens." The capacitance of the element in a more compact model will be approximately 2700-2800 mAh (almost like in the predecessor), and the conditional iPhone X Plus is equipped with a battery for 3300-3400 mAh.

The third iPhone will receive a 6.1-inch IPS display from JDI. The panel also has a cutout for the TrueDepth camera system. The face recognition function Face ID becomes the standard way to unlock the whole line, but its accuracy will not change (the update is not expected until 2019). 3D Touch in the younger model will not. Other features include "only" 3 GB of RAM, a single camera and a standard battery with a capacity of 2850-2950 mAh. Sources say that the development of the device is slightly out of the schedule, but until September the issue will be resolved. All three new items support wireless charging.

How much is?

With prices ranging from $ 700 to $ 800, the 6.1-inch iPhone will be the most affordable and most popular model of the season. The junior unit will account for about 50% of the sales of the new line. How much will it cost two other smartphones - it is not known ($ 1000 +?). While experts make cautious forecasts and do not expect a sharp increase in demand.
