Lenovo introduced the VR Classroom Kit

Lenovo studied the potential of virtual reality for educational purposes. Therefore, the company decided to introduce the VR Classroom Kit, which will include Mirage Solo - the first standalone VR-helmet of Daydream platform from Google. This set is intended for the introduction of VR in schools, as an educational tool.

VR Classroom Kit is designed for children from 13 years old and up. The set includes a lot of educational content, including more than 700 VR-trips in the Google Expeditions program. In addition, Daydream store has a large number of special applications for teachers.

The Mirage Solo helmet is completely autonomous and does not require a connection to a PC or smartphone. The device received a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 2560x1440p and a Snapdragon 835 processor. The device is supplied with controllers for management. The company also offers a high-speed router Ruckus R51 and a 10-inch tablet, Tab 4 PLUS for teachers.

Price and start of sales

A set for three students will be available on sale from April in the US, and in Canada - in the fall, at a price of $ 2,899. In the future, it will be possible to purchase a set for 10 students, the cost of which is still unknown.
