Back in August, Asus announced that the smartphone line ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 4 will receive an upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo. But added that only one model will be updated in 2017, and all the rest will be in 2018. And it happened - Asus ZenFone 4 received an update last month, and now the queue has reached ZenFone 3.

A new version of the OS for the smartphone was announced on the Asus ZenTalk forum with the version number 15.0410.1712.31. The update contains the "picture in picture" function, as well as some visual changes in the settings and ZenUI. With the update, some standard applications have been removed, such as MiniMovie, PhotoCollage and Do It Later. But you can download them on Google Play. Unfortunately, the smartphone was not added support for Project Treble.
