Inventors from the Korean National Institute of Science and Technology Ulsana (UNIST) have developed batteries that can be stretched or bent, they are perfect for a new generation of gadgets.

What is inside

The basis of the stretching rechargeable batteries is the aqueous electrolyte, and also includes a carbon-polymer composite of hybrid fillers with carbon nanotubes and soot.
The developers themselves say that even with a strong deformation the battery retains its qualities. The properties of this material will be further used for next-generation devices.
