A few days have passed since the start of official sales of the iPhone 15 line of smartphones, and famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo decided to share his data and predictions.

Here's What We Know

In general, things are going well for Apple. The analyst believes that the second half of 2023 the company will end with 80 million units sold, while iPhone 14 shipments in the second half of 2022 totalled 76 million. Although last year's numbers were affected by the closure of Foxconn's largest iPhone manufacturing plant due to quarantine in China.

The absolute champion in terms of demand was the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Sales of the top model are expected to reach 35 million units compared to 28 million iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Demand for the iPhone 15 Plus also exceeded expectations, which, frankly, were underestimated.

But as for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, they have yet to live up to expectations. Ming-Chi Kuo says that there is a possibility that orders for these two models will drop unless Apple decides to lower their prices. It's also possible that more promotional incentives could be applied to these models.
