Weekly chart of game sales in the UK: Mortal Kombat 1 takes the top spot and Cyberpunk 2077 returns to the top ten
Last week's UK physical retail chart showed the 10 best-selling games.
Here's What We Know
GfK analysts have analysed the UK video game market and published interesting information shared by GamesIndustry.biz.
Mortal Kombat 1 was released on 19 September. The game sold so well that it took the first place in the chart. The fighting game was bought on PlayStation 5 the most. This was followed by Xbox and Switch. Before that, Hogwarts Legacy was in the first place, but now it is second on the list.
Lies of P is another new title that managed to get into the chart, but this time at the 3rd place. The game has been available on Xbox Game Pass since its release, which allowed a significant number of gamers to avoid buying the game.
The HD remaster of Pikmin 1 + 2 was placed below. Last week, the physical edition was released, which helped the game to get into the top five.
The last new release for today is PayDay 3. Despite all the problems with servers and the lack of a large selection of content, the cooperative heist shooter was in 7th place.
Cyberpunk 2077 returned to the top ten best-selling games and is now at number 6. The release of the 2.0 update and the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion pack this week made gamers actively buy the game again.
