The last few years have been extremely successful for Capcom.

The Japanese publisher has released many top-notch games based on popular franchises, including Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry and others.

Despite its successes, there are constant rumours online that Capcom is considering merger options with other gaming giants, including Microsoft.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with Bloomberg, Capcom CEO Haruhiro Tsujimoto denied information about a potential merger with other companies.

According to him, Capcom does not plan, does not consider and does not want to merge with third-party companies! The head of the Japanese publisher believes that it is their independence and creative freedom that allows them to produce high quality games.

Capcom will continue to cooperate with partners and release games on various platforms, and the developers will pay special attention to mobile devices. Thus, Resident Evil Village will be released on iPhone 15 Pro and iPad on 30 October, and the remake of Resident Evil 4 is planned to be released on Apple devices by the end of 2023.
