All Xiaomi 2021 tablets will get MIUI 15 firmware, but without the Android 14 operating system

Xiaomi is set to release the new MIUI 15 firmware for all tablets that were introduced in 2021. We are talking about three models of the Xiaomi Pad 5 series.

Here's What We Know

In August 2021, the Chinese company held a big presentation, during which the Xiaomi Pad 5 and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro tablets were announced. The Pro version is additionally available in a modification with 5G support.

The tablets went on sale with Android 11 operating system. They are now running the MIUI 14 firmware, which is based on Android 13. This is where the Android update comes to an end.

In the coming months, the Xiaomi Pad 5, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G will get a major update that will bring MIUI 15 software. To be precise, the firmware will be called MIUI 15 for Pad. However, it will be based on Android 13 operating system instead of Android 14.
