Google closes Podcasts app: podcasts will move to YouTube Music

Google is about to shut down yet another branded app.

We're talking about Google Podcasts. The application will cease to exist in early 2024. After that, all podcasts will move to the YouTube Music service. By the way, they are already available in YouTube Music to users in the United States. They can be listened to and downloaded in the app for free.

Google announced the Podcasts app for Android devices in 2018. Two years later, Google Podcasts now has a web version and an iOS app.
