Samsung has released a fresh single-chip system of the seventh series. The novelty does not claim for performance records and is designed for mid-range devices.

Features

SoC Samsung Exynos 7885 received eight cores and is made on 14-nm technology FinFET. Two cores Cortex-A73 have a maximum clock frequency of 2.2 GHz. Six cores Cortex-A53 - up to 1.6 GHz. The graphic accelerator of the novelty was the Mali-G71 MP2. The chip supports LPDDR4x memory, eMMC 5.1 flash memory, single cameras up to 21.7 megapixels and dual modules up to 16 megapixels, as well as WUXGA screens (1920 by 1200 pixels) and a new Full HD + format (up to 2220 by 1080 pixels). There are also Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo modules. Exynos 7885 also works with LTE networks (up to 600 Mbps on download and up to 150 Mbps on transmission).

When and where to wait

Official data on when and in which models a new single-chip system will appear. But judging by the previous leaks, a fresh chip should get smartphones Galaxy A5 (2018) and Galaxy A7 (2018).
