If you own a BMW car and have recently bought yourself an iPhone 15, then we have some bad news for you.

Here's What We Know

Some BMW owners have started complaining on the MacRumors forum and Twitter that their NFC chip fails after wirelessly charging their smartphone in the car. It is responsible for Apple Pay as well as digital keys in the iPhone. Affected users after charging the smartphone receive the message "Could Not Set Up Apple Pay" in the Wallet app.

Apparently, the problem cannot be fixed yet. Some users claim that Apple has replaced their iPhone, confirming the faulty NFC chip. However, if you use wireless charging in a car again, the NFC in the new smartphones also fails. Therefore, it is better not to use wireless charging in BMW, and charge the smartphone by cable.

By the way, this is not the first problem associated with the iPhone 15. For example, it recently became known that the Pro-versions of the devices are strongly warming. In addition, Apple's new products are not always charged from portable batteries.
