Studio-developer Call of Duty has lost the founders
The founders of Sledgehammer Games Glen Schofield and Michael Condry left the studio. Fortunately for Activision, the designers will not leave the company's walls, but will direct their energy to other projects.
What is known
Schofield told Polygon that Activision offered him to concentrate on other projects that he is "very passionate about." Representatives of the company decided not to go into details. Only they hinted that Schofield and Condri would depart from the main projects, going over to "executive duties" over the others.
What will happen with Call of Duty
Since 2009, Sledgehammer Games have been working on the Call of Duty series, led by Schofield and Condry. Now the chair of the chapter will be occupied by Aaron Halon, who created maps for Call of Duty: WWII. Also, Halon sat in the chair of the lead designer of three games of the CoD series.
Plans for Activision regarding Call of Duty: WWII remain unchanged. Sledgehammer Games will continue to complement and support the game with new content.
