At the MWC 2018, Sony showed off the new Xperia Ear Duo Bluetooth headphones with open sound technology called Dual Listening. The novelty was the update of the model of last year's Xperia Ear Open-Style headphones.

Features

The Sony Xperia Ear Duo headphones do two things at the same time - they reproduce the music qualitatively and do not muffle ambient sounds from the user, for example, the signal of a passing car, the sound warning of a traffic light or the conversations of nearby people. This is possible thanks to the Dual Listening function. In the work it helps the technology Clear Phase - depending on the level of ambient noise, it automatically adjusts the volume of sound in the headphones. All this allows the user to hear the world around him or the danger emanating from him, while listening to music or talking on the phone.

The basis of the Sony Xperia Ear Duo is the Sony CXD5602 processor. The body of the Bluetooth gadget is protected from splashes according to the IPX2 standard. There are four microphones, a Bluetooth 4.2 module, recognition of the user's head movements (track switching, answer or ringtone rejection), as well as a touch surface for adjusting the volume and changing the songs. Headphones are integrated with Google Assistant and Siri voice assistants. On the assurances of the creators, the battery life of the headphones is 4 hours. The kit includes a case with built-in battery. It is enough for three recharges.

Release date and price

Wireless headphones Sony Xperia Ear Duo will be available in spring at a price of $ 280.
