The era of notebooks with 5G modules will come in 2019. At least so believe Microsoft, Dell, HP and Lenovo.

What is known

The four techno-giants decided that modern laptops do not have enough cellular communication modules. It is not known why only now, but better late than never. Companies do not pour out details, but it is known that the first laptops with 5G will appear on the "holidays in 2019".

As modems will use Intel chips. In addition to 5G is expected to support 2G, 3G and LTE networks. This is good, considering that 5G may not get to us in 2019.

It is necessary, but useless

Built-in laptop 5G - cool, but it may not be needed. Western mobile giants AT & T and Verizon are only planning to provide customers with a 5G network at the end of 2018. T-Mobile does not even expect to acquire this technology before 2019. There is not even a talk about Ukraine and other CIS countries.
