Smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6 received MIUI 9.2 based on Android 8.0 Oreo
Xiaomi rolled out the final version of the firmware MIUI 9.2.3 for the flagship Mi 6, which is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. At the same time the company posted the source code of the kernel of the system on GitHub, so in the near future one should expect a custom.
What's new?
Since this is still the same MIUI 9, there are not many external changes. The most noticeable is the notifications in the "curtain". The developers returned the old style, which more closely matches the shell interface, but does not know how to group alerts. The new "picture-in-picture" mode from Oreo and the Notification Dots function have not appeared yet, whereas in Mi A1 on "pure" Android they are.
Judging by the first messages of users, it is better to wait until switching to MIUI 9.2.3. Some owners of Xiaomi Mi 6 after the update appeared delayed operation of the fingerprint scanner, and notifications began to be duplicated. Given a small list of changes, it's easier to wait until the developers fix the main errors.
Soon Android 8.0 Oreo can also get Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi Mix. If only there were no new problems.
