Microsoft revealed the details of the upcoming spring update for the Xbox One console.

What is known

Xbox One S and X will receive support for image output in 1440r. In Microsoft believe that PC-gamers prefer this resolution because of the comfortable frame rate. Also, consoles can interact better with WQHD and QHD monitors.

The second update will appeal to users of the streaming service Mixer. With it, Microsoft wants to take away the laurels of the championship from Twitch, lure the audience with cool features. For example, the streamer can transfer control over the game to the viewer. The observer will be allowed to use a virtual gamepad or a physical Xbox Controller by connecting it to a computer.

If the streamer decides to switch the game, the broadcast no longer stops, but is paused. Also added the ability to start streaming from "any place in the Xbox One interface."

When to expect

This is not a complete list of updates that are waiting for XONE users in the spring. Microsoft promises to add more useful features, as well as a couple of "experimental" ones. For members of the Xbox Insider program, the update is already available.
