How to call Uber on the phone in Kiev

The further, the more Uber resembles the usual taxi service. Since the beginning of February, the service is testing in Kiev the possibility of ordering a trip by phone, and hundreds of people have already tried a new option.

How it works?

To call a taxi it is enough to dial short number 9988 from your mobile phone. The dispatcher agent will specify the landing address and destination, and also calculate the tariff (so far only uberX). If the user does not have a Uber account, he will be created by phone.

After confirmation of the order, the phone will receive an SMS with information about the trip, including the time of delivery, the brand and number of the car, the contact details of the driver, as well as a link along which you can follow the route. If the Uber application is installed on the device, the trip will be displayed in it.

Payment is made in cash upon arrival, of course, the user can leave a tip to the driver . The project is aimed at those who do not have a smartphone or an Internet connection. Thus, the service expects to expand its audience.

What else do you need to know?

Calling Uber on the phone while working only in the capital of Ukraine and only from 7:00 to 24:00. Among the restrictions - you can make an order only for the near future (in the application there is a planning function). Trips with stops in several addresses are not yet available. Calls to number 9988 are free.
