Samsung wants to double foldable smartphone sales to 20 million in 2024
The market of foldable devices continues to grow, and Samsung remains the leader on it. The South Korean company has rather ambitious plans for the next year.
Here's What We Know
The Elec report says that Samsung plans to sell 20 million foldable smartphones in 2024. That's as many as all foldable smartphones are projected to be sold in the global market in 2023.
In comparison, Samsung has a plan of 15 million sales for this year, but analysts' forecasts are disappointing: they expect that the manufacturer will not be able to reach its goal and will sell only 10 million gadgets. That is, the plan of 20 million is twice the actual sales in 2023.
Increase sales should help the smartphone Galaxy Fold 6, which is expected to be thinner than its predecessors. However, its competition is serious: Motorola Razr+ and Razr (2023), Google Pixel Fold, OnePlus Open, Honor Magic V2 and others.
