Google Pixel 8 Pro shoots slightly worse than the iPhone 15 Pro, but ranks #4 in the DxOMark rankings
DxOMark experts finally got to the camera of the new Google Pixel 8 Pro flagship, tested it and rated it.
Here's What It Costs
The total score of the Pixel 8 Pro is 153 points, including 155 points for photo shooting and 149 for video. This result allowed the smartphone to take 4th place in the DxOMark rating and be called one of the best camera phones to date.
At the same time, the Pixel 8 Pro is not far behind the top three: iPhone 15 Pro (154 points), iPhone 15 Pro Max (also 154 points) and Huawei P60 Pro, which holds the leadership with 156 points.
Among the pros of the Pixel 8 Pro camera are pleasant colour reproduction in any light, fast and accurate autofocus, good level of detail, effective stabilisation, excellent sound from the built-in speakers, noticeably improved compared to previous Pixel models. But there are downsides: some visible noise in low-light conditions during video, loss of very fine detail, visible differences in sharpness between video frames, and limited audio noise performance.
