Extreme cold and high risk: an insider revealed interesting details of an online shooter based on the Far Cry franchise with the working title Project Maverick
Authoritative insider Tom Henderson shared new details of the unannounced multiplayer game Far Cry series under the working title Project Maverick.
Here's What We Know
Earlier Henderson reported that Ubisoft has two Far Cry games in development.
We told about one of them - with the working title Project Blackbird - recently: according to the information, it will be a full-fledged seventh part of the franchise with the addition of new mechanics.
The second project is an online shooter Project Maverick. Tom Henderson dedicated a new article to this game on Insider Gaming website.
Here's What We Know
According to Insider Gaming, Ubisoft Montreal studio is developing a shooter in the Alaska setting, which in the game will be called Alashnica.
The player or players will have to carry out sorties, search for equipment, collect materials for making necessary items and gradually develop their characters. For example, to create medicines it is necessary to get plants, and animal skins will be useful for clothing and other useful items.
Project Maverick is a high-risk shooter. In case of character death, all progress is lost, you can only save a part of things by leaving them in the shelter. In this respect, Project Maverick is reminiscent of the shooter Escape from Tarkov.
When We Can Expect It
Henderson's sources say that the full online version of Far Cry is scheduled for an April 2025 release, with the alpha version launching in the first half of 2024.
