Copresence, a developer of software for creating digital avatars using artificial intelligence, has raised more than $6 million in seed funding.

Here's What We Know

The funds will accelerate the development of Copresence's technology to create photorealistic 3D avatars using a single smartphone.

The investment will be used to expand the team in Zurich, improve the platform and build partnerships globally. The priority is to improve the app to simplify avatar creation and integrate with third-party services.

The Copresence platform is compatible with popular 3D engines like Unity and Unreal Engine. Avatars can be used in games, VR, AR, MR applications and video conferencing for realistic character representation.

Copresence recently released a beta version of its iOS app where users can create their own photorealistic avatar.
