History of the development of cameras in Samsung phones (infographics)
The main feature of the Galaxy S9 and S9 + was a camera with a variable aperture. Before the start of sales of the new generation of flagships, Samsung decided to recall the path that mobile photography took in the last 18 years:
The world's first phone with built-in camera was Samsung SCH-V200, introduced in the distant 2000. It was equipped with a module of 0.35 megapixels and memory for 20 shots, but users could only view photos on a 1.5-inch screen, and to send them it was necessary to upload them to the computer first.
In 2002, the Samsung SCH-X590 clamshell with a 0.1 MP rotary module entered the market, and a year later the design experiments continued in the SCH-V420 model with a rotary display, allowing you to shoot at any angle to a delightful 0.3-megapixel camera.
The most unusual device on the list is the Samsung SCH-V770 with a 7-megapixel camera that supported interchangeable lenses. Later, the Koreans had another bold experiment in the form of the Galaxy S4 Zoom, which more closely resembled a camera with a built-in smartphone. In addition to optical zoom, this hybrid did not have any obvious advantages, and after another model Galaxy K Zoom (SM-C115) in Samsung decided - enough.
Our days
Of the latest models, the company noted the Galaxy S7 with Dual Focus technology for quick focus, and the first flagship with a dual camera - Galaxy Note 8.
The new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + main 12-megapixel camera allows you to switch the aperture value from f / 2.4 to f / 1.5 and vice versa. The second option is better for night shooting, and the day at the maximum value the background is more blurred. Another feature of the module is the support for shooting video at a speed of up to 960 frames per second, although only in HD-resolution, plus the result depends heavily on the quality of lighting.
The older Samsung Galaxy S9 + also has a second module on the backrest with a two-fold approach for portrait mode. Overview of the smartphone can already be read on our website.
