Lithuania wants to buy 36 AIM-120C-8 AMRAAM medium-range missiles worth $100 million for NASAMS air defence systems

Lithuania is seeking to purchase three dozen AIM-120 missiles for NASAMS air defence systems. The potential deal will be reviewed by the U.S. Congress.
Here's What We Know
The State Department has already approved the possible sale of 36 AMRAAM (Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles) missiles in the AIM-120C-8 variant for NASAMS air defence systems. The $100 million deal also includes spare components, technical, logistical and engineering support.
In addition to the AIM-120C-8 AMRAAM for Lithuania, the US Congress is expected to approve the sale of AGM-179A JAGM and AGM-88G AARGM-ER worth $957.4 million and $500 million respectively.
