One of the most technologically advanced games of our time: Nvidia shows what Alan Wake 2 looks like with ray tracing, DLSS 3.5 technology and maximum graphics settings
Nvidia has unveiled a demo of Alan Wake 2, showing how the horror game from Remedy Entertainment will look like with ray tracing and maximum graphics settings.
Here's What We Know
The video was recorded on a modern computer with GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, in 4K resolution and with ray tracing. The game uses the most advanced technologies, thanks to which reflections on different surfaces are processed separately, thus ensuring maximum realism of the image.
Light sources also use different algorithms, so Alan Wake 2 uses all types of lighting, from semi-darkness to blinding light. Players will feel the contrast between the shimmering neon signs of the main streets of Alan Wake's subconsciously distorted New York City and the misty forests.
Alan Wake 2 will be one of the few games to utilise the latest DLSS 3.5 anti-aliasing technology. It will dramatically improve game performance without sacrificing graphics quality.
Nvidia has also instructed users of non-new GeForce RTX graphics cards. They are advised to select low or medium ray tracing presets.
When We Can Expect It
Alan Wake 2 will release on 27 October on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game is only available digitally.
