The developers of Payday 3 reported that the promised patch is already undergoing testing and certification, and the game is planned to be supported for years
We wrote that Payday 3's online is 10 times lower than Payday 2's, and the developers have not yet released a major patch. Now, Starbreeze Studios has revealed more details about the long-awaited update on the game's official website for the first time in several days.
Here's What We Know
The authors apologised and assured that the team's priority is to release the promised patch. The first patch is currently undergoing testing and certification to be released simultaneously on all platforms. But the exact release date is still unknown.
The reason why it took so long to prepare this patch is that critical bugs were discovered shortly after the game's release. There was a risk that players' progress would be destroyed if this issue was not addressed and a reliable testing environment was not provided.
The developers also see a lot of feedback about the progression system. The designers are looking into how this can be improved and we will have more information on what it will look like in the future.
Starbreeze also assured that as soon as patches are released steadily, the team will start publishing additional content. These will be free updates that should appear by the end of the year.
Despite all the difficulties, the studio plans to support the game and rehabilitate for years.
Where To Play
PayDay 3 is available on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. It is also available on GamePass.
