Ukrainian pilots began flight training on F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters in Arizona
The USA has finally started flight training of Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 Fighting Falcon. This was announced by a representative of the US Air Force.
Here's What We Know
Practical training began this week, but a small number of Ukrainian pilots are taking part in it so far. Training takes place at the Air National Guard base in Arizona.
The flights are provided by the 162nd Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard. It is stationed at Morris Base near Tucson International Airport. The training will last for several months.
It is worth noting that the 162nd Aviation Regiment is the only U.S. Air Force unit that is authorised to train foreign pilots. The standard training course lasts for six months, but there is a possibility that Ukrainian pilots will be able to complete it faster.
