Xiaomi has unveiled a $275 smartwatch that can record ECG and measure blood pressure
Along with Xiaomi Watch S3, the Chinese company has unveiled another wearable device. It does not have a full-fledged commercial name, but appears simply as Wrist ECG Blood Pressure Recorder. But this is a typical practice for many gadgets that are oriented strictly to the Chinese market.
Here's What We Know
Essentially, the novelty is a smartwatch that can record ECG and measure blood pressure. At the moment, it is unclear whether the Xiaomi Wrist ECG Blood Pressure Recorder will be sold outside of China, and if so, whether it will get an adequate commercial name.
The Chinese company claims that the wearable gadget can accurately measure blood pressure in less than 60 seconds. The deviation is no more than 3 mm of mercury column in either direction. In addition, Xiaomi Wrist ECG Blood Pressure Recorder is capable of collecting statistics about the user's health for an extended period of time.
The smartwatch features a 1.43" diameter display. The round panel is based on an AMOLED matrix. The case is made of stainless steel and aluminium alloy. The water and dust protection complies with IP68 standard.
Xiaomi Wrist ECG Blood Pressure Recorder have fall detection and can call for emergency service. The battery life without recharging is just over a week. The wearable gadget has also got Bluetooth and NFC.
