Even before the release of Alan Wake 2, it was known that the game would receive two paid storyline add-ons: Night Springs and Lake House. Now, their approximate release date and first details have been revealed in a conversation between the game's developers and IGN.

Here's What We Know

Night Springs is due out in late spring 2024, although Remedy noted that the release window is subject to change. You can read the official description of the expansion below:

"Visions and dreams. Fiction is written and coming true. Fiction collapses and remains just words on a page. These are those stories... in Night Springs. Play as several familiar characters from the world of Alan Wake and experience the unexplainable in multiple self-contained episodes of Night Springs, a fictional TV-show set in the world of Alan Wake".

Lake House DLC does not have a release date yet, but it also has an official description:

"The Lake House is a mysterious facility situated on the shores of Cauldron Lake set up by an independent government organization to conduct secret research… until something goes wrong. Explore the Lake House and embark on two separate adventures as the realities of Saga Anderson and Alan Wake collide again".

Owners of the Deluxe edition will receive the expansion automatically.

Flashback

Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy, also spoke about free add-ons for Alan Wake 2. More information will be revealed later, but Lake said that these add-ons are "pretty significant".

Where To Play

Alan Wake 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
