• 88 points - Metacritic, PlayStation 5 version;
• 92 points - Metacritic, PC version;
• on Xbox, scores are still scarce.

Critics are virtually unanimous in their opinion that Alan Wake 2 is one of the best horror games in the history of the genre. It has an exciting plot, excellent gameplay, mesmerising atmosphere, interesting locations and memorable characters.

Journalists are impressed with Alan Wake 2's directorial production and technical execution of the game. If not for minor bugs, which will be fixed by several patches, the game could be called perfect.

The sequel turned out to be much more complex and interesting than the first part, and the technological difference is not worth talking about - it's a completely different level!

In addition, fans of another Remedy game - Control - will find in Alan Wake 2 interesting references and plot connection between the games.

On the back of the successful release, Remedy's stock price rose by almost 13%, the highest for the studio since June 2022.

It isalready known that Alan Wake 2 will receive two paid story add-ons: Night Springs and Lake House.
