YouTube's moderators will see less "disturbing videos" that contain propaganda or violence. This was told by the executive director of video hosting Susan Vodzhicki.

What is known

Wodzicki said that she herself was engaged in viewing such content, and it was given to her with difficulty. Now the moderators will watch "disturbing videos" no more than four hours a day. In addition to limiting the time for viewing poor content, the moderators will be provided with "health services".

"This is a real problem, and I myself spent a lot of time reviewing such content in recent years," she said.

YouTube has been using Content ID for a long time to check the video for copyright infringements, but people watch videos with violence and others. Moderators are hired as contractors who do not have a psychological health benefit, like a full-time Google employee.

The war against "disturbing video"

Over the past 18 months, YouTube has been criticized for untruthful news, propaganda videos and other things. The service solves this problem and plans to hire 10,000 people to moderate the video.
