OPPO A79 5G: 90Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chip, 50 MP camera and 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging

OPPO has unexpectedly announced a new A-series smartphone outside China.

The novelty was named OPPO A79 5G. The gadget received a body with a thickness of 7.99 and a weight of 193 grams. The novelty was equipped with a 6.72-inch screen. It has FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and Widevine L1 certification for watching HD content on Amazon Prime and Netflix.

The OPPO A79 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor. The smartphone also packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. As for the cameras, there are three of them in the novelty: dual main 50 MP (Samsung ISOCELL JN1) + 2 MP and single frontal 8 MP. The gadget is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 33W charging. The device also has stereo speakers, dual SIM slot, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and Virtual RAM feature. The novelty comes with Android 13 operating system and ColorOS 13 shell.
