Philips decided that it's time for robots to start to enslave humanity to acquire their own robotic vacuum cleaner and introduced its stand-alone unit called HomeRun. The robot is equipped with 20 sensors, a built-in camera, a gyroscope, an infrared sensor and is able to independently map the area entrusted to it. The manufacturer claims that HomeRun has the longest battery life among devices of this class. It is able to work with flooring of 4 types: parquet, laminate, carpet and tile. Suction power allows the vacuum cleaner to clean the coating with a lint length of up to 2 centimeters. The capacity of the dust container is 0.6 liters. Of course, this robot is able to return to its base station at the end of work or discharge of the battery. Philips says the cleaning speed of 40 square meters per hour. It is not superfluous for the robot to be able to update the firmware via USB. Just think about it - it's a vacuum cleaner, which should include the most natural USB cable.
