Huawei increased smartphone shipments in China by 37 per cent, while Apple, OOPO, vivo and realme failed in Q3 2023
The third quarter of 2023 in the Chinese smartphone market was unsuccessful for two of the three leading manufacturers. This is stated in the report of the analytical agency Counterpoint Research.

OPPO and vivo now control 17.8% and 16% of the Chinese smartphone market, respectively. The former sold 13% fewer smartphones than a year ago, while the latter reduced shipments by 14%. This allowed Honor to come out on top with a share of 18.3%. The company shipped 3% more phones than in the base period.
Apple remains in fourth position, controlling 14.2% of the Chinese market. Xiaomi closes the five with a share of 14%. The American company in the reporting period sold 10% fewer smartphones than a year ago, while the Chinese company increased shipments by 5%.
The biggest growth was demonstrated by Huawei. Thanks to the Mate 60 Pro smartphone, the company increased shipments by more than a third (37%). Earlier it became known that Huawei's profit in the third quarter reached $3.6 billion. realme company reduced smartphone shipments by 23%, demonstrating the largest decline.
