Ukrainian defence forces hit a Russian strategic air defence facility in Crimea

A strategic Russian air defence facility in Crimea was attacked. The strike was carried out on the night of 30 October 2023.

Russian media were the first to report that an air defence regiment in Crimea was hit. A few hours later, this information was officially confirmed by Ukraine.

At the moment, there is no information about what air defence equipment was destroyed or damaged. It is only reported that five vehicles were damaged and 17 servicemen of the Russian army were injured.

It is also not said what type of weapons were used. Earlier, the Ukrainian Defence Forces used long-range kamikaze drones and Neptun anti-ship missiles modified to hit ground targets. In particular, this is how several S-400 Triumf launchers were destroyed in September and August 2023.
