It's insulting: France will sue Google and Apple
The French authorities are unhappy with the policy of Google and Apple regarding software developers.
What is known
French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire expressed his outrage at the publication of RTL , calling the practice of Google and Apple "offensive." To stop the lawlessness, the authorities intend to file a lawsuit against the two companies and withdraw from them a fine. The ministry is unhappy that developers should pay companies for placing applications in the App Store or Google Play.
"When developers want to sell apps using Google or Apple, they have to pay. At the same time, Google and Apple collect information in one direction and can change the terms of the contract. This is unacceptable, "Le Mare said.
The French government also intends to close loopholes in legislation that use Google, Apple and even Facebook to evade taxes.
"Starting in 2019, we want to tax all the big European techno companies," he added.
I have a deja vu
France already sued Google in 2016 in an attempt to pull off $ 1.7 billion. Then the French lost: the court did not find violations of the European laws in the actions of the company.
