According to a report from Windows Central, Microsoft plans to introduce new restrictions on the use of third-party accessories with Xbox. Starting in November, "unauthorised" Xbox accessories created by other manufacturers will not be allowed to be used with Xbox Series consoles.

Here's What We Know

Recently, owners of Xbox consoles began receiving an error with the code "0x82d60002", warning them that connected unauthorised devices would stop working from 12 November.

According to Windows Central sources, Microsoft made this move by lifting restrictions on third-party wireless accessories, which were mostly wired. It is noted that Microsoft is considering the procedure for approving wireless accessories from third-party manufacturers and, possibly, new restrictions on unauthorised accessories are introduced as a security measure.

So far, Microsoft has not provided official information about the reasons for this change.
