Instagram is developing customisable 'AI friends' - personalised chatbots for socialising

The Instagram platform is testing an "AI Friend" feature that will allow users to create a personal chatbot and communicate with it.

According to the leak, users will be able to customise the gender, age, nationality and character of their virtual conversation partner. It will also be possible to select its interests to determine topics for communication.

After customising its appearance and personality, the bot will get a name and avatar. Then a button to start a dialogue with the AI will appear in the chat room.

Such a feature will allow you to create personalised virtual friends for chatting in the Instagram messenger.

Company representatives declined to comment on the leak.
