The UK has published the 'Bletchley Declaration', which calls for countries to co-operate internationally in regulating the security of artificial intelligence.
Here's What We Know
The declaration was signed by 28 countries and the EU at an AI safety summit that opened in England. It calls on companies developing AI technologies to ensure transparency and take responsibility for potential risks.
The document also calls for the development of joint policies to reduce common AI threats. This includes the development of risk assessment metrics, security testing tools and scientific co-operation.
According to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, getting key countries to agree on AI is fundamental to ensuring a secure future for the technology.
