Capcom reports 8.7 million copies of Resident Evil Village sold
Capcom, like Nintendo, has recently updated its list of Platinum Titles - games with sales of more than a million copies - and shared new sales data for several of its projects.
Here's What We Know
The total number of copies of Resident Evil Village sold worldwide reached 8.7 million units at the time of the last update, up from 8.3 million copies at the beginning of this year. In the last quarter alone (July-September), about 400,000 copies were sold.
Resident Evil 7, on the other hand, has not lost its popularity after six years since its release, reaching global sales of 12.7 million copies, and another 300,000 copies were sold in the last quarter.
The Resident Evil 2 remake, released in 2019, is also showing steady popularity with 13.1 million copies sold to date. At the same time, the Resident Evil 3 remake, released in 2020, has conquered 8 million copies sold. And even the Resident Evil 4 remake, which was released earlier this year, has already found its fan, with 5.45 million copies sold.
