The Ukrainian Defence Forces have destroyed two Russian landing ships in Crimea. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

Here's What We Know

In the morning of 10 November 2023, there was information about the defeat of two Russian ships of the project 11770 "Serna". As it became known by evening, the second landing ship was built under the project 1176 "Akula".

In the course of additional reconnaissance it was established that both ships were completely destroyed and are not subject to restoration. The first to go to the bottom was the Project 1176 "Akula" landing ship. A little later it was joined by the Project 11770 "Serna".

1176 "Akula" - is an old programme under which several dozens of landing ships were built. A large number of them have already been written off. Only D-295 and D-106 boats remained in the Black Sea Fleet.

11770 "Serna" is a newer project. Most of the ships were built already in the XXI century. It is likely that Ukrainian naval drones destroyed the landing boat D-144, which was put into service 15 years ago.
