In the fall on the roads there will be Swedish unmanned trucks Einride T-pod

Swedish startup Einride told about the imminent launch of futuristic unmanned trucks T-pod.

Einride T-pod works on NVIDIA Drive AI technology. She is able to position an auto van on a map, to go around and scan obstacles and terrain, and also effectively route the shortest route in cities with traffic jams. If necessary, an unmanned truck Einride T-pod can be operated by a person. This is done remotely, with a special console.

The maximum possible cargo for transportation in T-pod is 20 tons (15 standard pallets). At one battery charge of 200 kWh, an unmanned van is capable of traveling 160-200 km, depending on the cargo being carried. The producers did not announce the maximum speed.

When and how much should I wait

The first Einride T-pod will be on sale in the autumn of this year. A party of 200 unmanned novelties was ordered by a local Swedish company. They will transport goods between the cities of Gothenburg and Helsingborg. The price of vans is still unknown.
