It's official: iQOO 12 smartphones will receive OS updates for 3 years

In anticipation of the global announcement of the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro smartphones, which debuted in China in early November, vivo has revealed interesting details about support and the new version of the Funtouch OS shell.

So, the iQOO 12 is guaranteed to get three major OS updates. And over the course of 4 years, users will receive security updates. Of course, Samsung, OnePlus and Google offer longer support, but 4 years is not a bad indicator either.

The smartphones run Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 - the new version of the software was announced a couple of months ago. Funtouch OS users have often complained about the presence of a set of "Hot Apps" and "Hot Games" right "out of the box". The manufacturer promises that this won't be the case with the release of Futnouch OS 14, meaning iQOO is getting rid of bloatware.

The global premiere of iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro will take place on 12 December.
