Samsung has unveiled a 146 metre screen in the shape of the Formula One logo that can be seen from space
Samsung unveiled its display technologies at the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS Grand Prix in Las Vegas, and it did so in a big way.
Here's What We've Seen
So, on the roof of the pit lane building, Samsung installed a huge LED display in the shape of the Formula 1 logo. It's a 10mm LED display with an area of 8,584 square metres with over 22 million pixels. It's the world's first 146-metre-long screen in the shape of a Formula One logo - it's longer than a football pitch. And Samsung also says the screen is so bright it can be seen from space.
In addition, 3 LED displays with an area of 288 square metres and a resolution of more than 1.2 million pixels were installed on the stands. On them the spectators could watch the races so that they wouldn't miss a single moment.
In total, the F1 logo on the roof, the 3 screens on the grandstands and the displays on the escalators cover an area of over 9753 square metres. Their length is enough to circle the Las Vegas Motor Speedway 2.5 times.
