The dimensions of the case are 224x302.6x5.9 mm, in thickness this is equivalent to a stack of 30 paper pages. The device weighs 349 g. Of 16 GB of internal memory, 11 GB are available to the user. One charge of the battery is enough for a month of work with an hour of reading a day.

The predecessor of the reader cost $ 1000, and the new Sony DPT-RP1 will cost $ 700 and will be available from June 5 in Japan. The model is oriented to the corporate sector, although anyone can buy it in the company's corporate store. This purchase makes sense, if good autonomy and excellent visibility in the sun are important. Among the alternatives is a 10.2-inch reMarkable tablet for $ 430 on pre-order (its usual price is $ 720 for a full set with a case and a stylus).
