The developers of Days Gone and the creators of The Last of Us may be working on a joint unannounced project
It is known that Bend Studio - the author of biker zombie action Days Gone - is working on some ambitious game.
The same can be said about Sony's other internal studio, Naughty Dog, which is creating several unannounced projects.
Thanks to a careful Twitter user under the nickname FaizShaikh7681, there is a reasonable assumption that the American developers are creating a joint project.
Here's What We Know
The LinkedIn page of former Bend Studio senior animator Adam Lawson, who already works at Archetype Entertainment, indicates that at least in the period from 2020 to 2022 his studio worked on an unannounced game with the famous studio Naughty Dog - the creator of The Last of Us and Uncharted.
Next, the facts end and speculation begins:
- Bend Studio may have helped develop the cancelled The Last of Us Online.
- It's unlikely, but theoretically Naughty Dog could have been involved in the development of Days Gone 2.
- Bend Studio has the Syphon Filter franchise in its portfolio and the studio could be working on a sequel or a relaunch, but that version doesn't seem plausible either.
- The most likely option is the version that if there is (or was) a joint development, it is a completely new project, in no way related to the already released games.
- It was an experiment that led nowhere.
From the author: in 2011 Bend Studio released a spin-off Uncharted with the subtitle Golden Abyss for the PlayStation Vita handheld console, there is a possibility that the companies are (were) working on another game of the franchise.
