Sharp Aquos Sense Plus: full-screen mid-dleed with moisture protection

Against the background of the new flagship Sharp Aquos R2 lost another smartphone of the Japanese company - Aquos Sense Plus. The device does not impress with the characteristics, but it will cost less.

How is it interesting?

Sharp Aquos Sense Plus received a 5.5-inch IGZO display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and a resolution of 2160x1080. Frames are not the thinnest, so there is a freely located button at the bottom, combined with a fingerprint scanner. The heart of the device was the eight-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 630, RAM 3 GB, built-in - 32 GB.

The main 16.4-megapixel camera smartphone received fast autofocus, and the front 8-megapixel module uses the screen as a flash. There is a dual-band Wi-Fi and a chip of the Japanese payment system Felica, combined with an NFC-antenna. Battery capacity is not reported.

The case is plastic, three colors are available: white, beige and black (with a glossy back cover). Declared protection against water and dust in accordance with IP65 / IP67. In size, the novelty is comparable to the flagship model, only at the top there is no cutout:

When to expect?

At least in Japan, sales of Sharp Aquos Sense Plus will begin this summer, the price will be announced closer to the release. For other countries there is no information, but the company plans to enter the European market. The novelty would be interesting to compare with the same Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018) .
